MP Express is designed to handle all localisation tasks associated with your website effortlessly regardless of the technology used to create it. This ensures that you can reach a global audience seamlessly.
Getting started
To get started, just head to the MP Express page on our website and fill in the form. Press Try for free then Submit. The free trial gives you access to the full capabilities of the system for 14 days and translate up to 10,000 words.
Preview your homepage and translate further pages
After signing up, you will automatically be directed to the preview of your translated website in a short while. Use this section to review that everything got captured correctly.
Press Finish setup to continue. This will guide you to the Preview screen. Here, you can navigate to further pages on your website and translate them. We recommend that you translate the key pages of your site. On a web shop for example, this would be the home page, a product page and the cart to show off the entire purchase flow.
Another option is to navigate to the Dashboard. Under Site Content, you can select the key pages and translate them via the toolbar on the right side of the screen.
Note that the trial allows you to translate 10,000 words. Once this limit is exceeded, you won't be able to translate any more content.
Translation issues
By default, the translations are provided via a Machine translation service. However, automation can only go so far. Machine translators can not have as throughout understanding of a language as a human can. As such, reviewing and editing the translations can be hugely beneficial.
You can invite other members of your team or professional linguists to collaborate with you on this process. Human-reviewed translations often enhance the accuracy and nuance of machine-generated content.
To do that, you can use the Copy link button. This allows you to send your team members a link that they can review without signing up for MP Express. Alternatively, you can navigate to the Dashboard and invite them to the platform via the Team section. More details are available here. When users sign up this way, they will have access to the same editing tools as you do:
- The Visual Editor allows you to edit the content of your website in context.
- The Table Editor on the other hand is used to translate content that is normally invisible.
More details on the different editors are available here.
Publishing
When the content is ready for prime time, it's time to publish your website. Do note, however, that this isn't needed until the very end of the process.
During publishing, you may need the project code. Luckily it is easy to find. First, navigate to the Dashboard. Any page will work, but for the purposes of this article, let's consider the Setup page. Look in the address bar of your web browser, you'll see https://app.motionpointexpress.com/_el/dash/project/r3d4ct3d/setup. The project code is the part between project/ and /setup. In this case, it is r3d4ct3d. The project code is unique to your project.
Setting it up is as easy as adding a single line of code to your site. The exact process for this varies depending on your content management system (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla), but no matter which one you have, we provide straightforward instructions to guide you through.
Subscription
When you subscribe to MotionPoint Express, you choose a language to translate your website into. Your plan covers the machine translation into the selected language within the word count limit of your plan.
MotionPoint Express automatically translates your website content into the selected language and stores these translations. The fee covers the translation into the selected language and the storage of these translations for the period of time your respective plan is active.
To add an additional language you need to subscribe and pay an additional plan for that language.
When you delete a language you delete the respective plan and all of the translations stored with it. You won't be charged on the next renewal date, however the fee for the active month or year (according to the period chosen at the time of subscription) is not refundable.
Your website won't be available on that language anymore (through MotionPoint Express) until you subscribe and pay a new plan for that language again.
